The Reckless Moment (sh. Trenutak lakomislenosti) je američki crno-bijeli film snimljen 1949. u režiji Max Ophülsa. Po žanru predstavlja kombinaciju melodrame i film noira, a temelji se na romanu The Blank Wall Elisabeth Sanxay Holding. Protagonistica, čiji lik tumači Joan Bennett, je Lucia Harper, kalifornijska domaćica čiji se savršeni svijet sruši nakon što postane uvjerena kako joj je kćer (čiji lik tumači Geraldine Brooks) slučajno ubila svog bivšeg ljubavnika. Radnja prikazuje njene pokušaje da sakrije dokaze, ali što rezultira time da postane metom ucjene od irskog gangstera Martina Donnellyja (čiji lik tumači James Mason) koji se dočepao kompromitirajuće korespondencije, ali koji se, nakon nekog vremena, zaljubi u Luciju. Ophülsov film, u kome je vješto koristio glumačke talente Bennettove (čiji je suprug Walter Wanger režirao film) i Masona kao "egzotičnog" stranca, nije imao komercijalnog uspjeha, ali je kasnije kod kritičara stekao status jednog od klasika žanra.

Godine 2001. je isti predložak iskorišten za The Deep End, film sa Tildom Swinton i Goranom Višnjićem u glavnim ulogama.
