Mirsarai Economic Zone

22°44′32″N 91°28′08″E / 22.7422166°N 91.468902°E / 22.7422166; 91.468902Mirsarai Economic Zone is an industrial economic zone currently under development in Mirsarai Upazila, Chittagong on the bank of Sandwip channel.[1][2] It is being developed on an area of 30,000 acres and is governed by Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) under the Bangladesh Economic Zone Act, 2010.[1][3][4]

Development Phase

Phase I of the development of the Mirsarai Economic Zone has already been completed. The developer of this zone is the Powerpac-East West-Gasmin JV. [5]

SBG Economic Zone Limited has been appointed to develop, operate, and oversee the 550 acres of land in Mirsarai Economic Zone. The 2nd Phase of the Mirsarai Economic Zone is currently under development on 900 acres of land. BEZA is going to construct a lake within the zone and the name would be ‘Sheikh Hasina Sarobar.’

The 3rd Phase of the Mirsarai Economic Zone is located beside both the 2nd and the 1st Phase of the respective economic zone. The total area of the 3rd phase is 500 acres.

Utilities

BEZA delivers the basic utilities of the utmost quality, for instance, electricity, gas, and water to this Mirsarai Economic Zone with national highways, Chittagong Part and Shah Amanat International Airport, Chattogram.

Moreover, the Mirsarai Economic Zone allows direct access to waterways, attractive incentives for interested investors, and an available and hassle-free land area. Also, the Mirsarai Economic Zone has the support of a comprehensive government initiative that ensures gas, electricity, sweet water, access roads, railways, as well as a seaport.
