The Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation is the national federation for Taekwondo and is responsible for governing the sport in Bangladesh.[1] Kazi Morshed Hossain is the president , Mahmudul Islam Rana is the general secretary and Md Saifullah Kabir Nahid is awarded the Global Ambassador of the federation. National members of Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation are, Jahidul Islam (Athlete), Kamrul Islam, Dipu Chakma (Bangladesh Army Team), Md Saifullah Kabir Nahid (Athlete, Instructor). [2][3]
History
Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation was established in 1997.[4] In January 2019, the South Korean government donated equipment to the Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation.[5] In December 2019, Dipu Chakma, became the first Bangladeshi to win a gold medal in Taekwondo at the 13th South Asian Games.[6][7]
