Part of the 2009 Irish local elections
An election to all 23 seats on Waterford County Council took place on 5 June 2009 as part of the 2009 Irish local elections. County Waterford was divided into five local electoral areas (LEAs) to elect councillors for a five-year term of office on the electoral system of proportional representation by means of the single transferable vote (PR-STV).[1]
